The goal was to use nihilism as a stage toward an aesthetic will to power. He was an artist primarily. His ‘philosophy’ was entirely deconstructive, which is why they say there is no metaphysics after him. He owes his metaphysic to Schopenhauer, but, gave the ideas style and applied them to our cultures and myths. He also favored Neo-Classicism over Shopenhr’s Western Buddhism.
